In MODIV, across the team we cover the diverse world of modelling and statistical approaches used to address plankton biodiversity

  • Adaptive trait-based models
  • Niche and metacommunity models
  • Acclimation of plankton
  • PFTs in spatially explicit models
  • Molecular approaches

Beyond working with the range of different approaches to model plankton biodiversity, we also focus on the better integration and use of observational data in these models, as well as promoting their value for societal impact and transfer of knowledge from science to policy and other user groups.
